Sarah Lawrence College continued its strong start to the 2026 season Tuesday night, sweeping Baruch College 3-0 at the Campbell Sports Center in Bronxville. The Gryphons opened with a 25-14 victory before holding off the Bearcats 25-23 in the second set and closing out the match with a 25-21 third-set win. The victory moved Sarah Lawrence to 7-1 on the season.
Caroline Combs led the Gryphons' attack with 15 kills and five digs, while Nikolet Vataj added 10 kills and 14 digs. Charlee Leonard contributed six kills, and Sophia Costa directed the offense with 31 assists. Kai Perkins also made an impact from the service line with four aces while recording a team-high 18 digs.
Sarah Lawrence finished with a 38-30 advantage in kills and hit .164 as a team, while Baruch finished at .085. The Gryphons also held an 11-4 edge in service aces and a 51-47 advantage in digs. Baruch was led by Erica Peralta with nine kills, while Karolina Lundqvist and Sarah Sellami each added eight; Karen Pozo Castro finished with 27 assists and nine digs.
