USMMA Defeated Farmingdale

The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy women's soccer team continued its unbeaten start to the season Tuesday night, defeating Farmingdale State 1-0 in a tightly contested Skyline Conference matchup at Bartoszek Field. The only goal of the night came from Ainsley Carlon, who finished a chance assisted by Faith Sammons to give the Mariners the decisive advantage. The result moved USMMA to 5-1-9 overall, while Farmingdale State fell to 3-3-2.

The match remained close throughout, with both teams struggling to create consistent scoring opportunities. Carlon finished with one shot on target and the game-winning goal, while Hailey Catolico recorded two shots and one on goal for the Mariners. Faith Sammons contributed the assist, while Ruby Karls and Kennedy Crovo also registered shots for USMMA.

USMMA's defensive effort preserved the narrow lead through the final whistle, allowing the Mariners to remain unbeaten in Skyline Conference play. The victory added another important result to a season that has featured a series of close matches for USMMA, while Farmingdale will look to bounce back after the one-goal defeat.
