UMSV Bests Yeshiva

The University of Mount Saint Vincent delivered a dominant offensive performance Tuesday night, defeating Yeshiva University 11-0 at Marillac Field. The Dolphins wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, scoring three times in the opening nine minutes before building a 7-0 advantage by halftime.

Mia Del Rosario led the offensive attack with a first-half hat trick, scoring three times in an eight-minute span. Lily Ostiguy, Michelle Zuniga, Jazlene Saldana and Jamie Landavazo also scored during the opening half, with Saldana adding two assists on the night. Landavazo's goal marked the first of her collegiate career.

UMSV continued to apply pressure after halftime, with Kerrigyn Lynam scoring twice in the opening six minutes of the second half. Caroline Gomes and Kate Russell added goals later in the half to complete the scoring. The Dolphins finished with a commanding 48-0 advantage in shots and put 28 attempts on target, while Yeshiva goalkeeper Rena Neiger made 17 saves in the match.
