Old Westbury women's soccer earned its first victory of the 2026 season Tuesday afternoon, shutting out Lehman College 3-0 at South Field in the Bronx. The Panthers opened the scoring in the 13th minute when Adriana Leon found the back of the net, giving Old Westbury a 1-0 advantage that held through halftime.
Old Westbury added to its lead early in the second half when Jamie Garcia Sorto scored in the 51st minute, with Camryn Volpe providing the assist. The Panthers continued to pressure Lehman throughout the half before Zamira Yamileth Mena Sequeira capped the scoring in the 80th minute, securing the three-goal advantage. Garcia Sorto led Old Westbury with seven shots and four shots on goal, while Mena Sequeira finished with three shots and three on target.
The Panthers controlled the match from start to finish, outshooting Lehman 24-6 and putting 13 attempts on target compared with four for the Lightning. Old Westbury also held a 13-4 advantage in corner kicks. Kristen Gallagher made four saves to preserve the shutout, while Lehman goalkeeper Katelyn Rice kept the score from getting further out of hand with 10 saves.
