Farmingdale Wins Over Greensboro

Farmingdale State College women's soccer completed a perfect weekend at the Hyatt Place Showcase on Sunday, shutting out Greensboro College 3-0 in Salem, Virginia. The Rams controlled the match from the opening whistle and took a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute when senior Kayla Mendez found the back of the net.

Farmingdale carried its advantage into halftime before adding two more goals after the break. Jenna Biondo doubled the lead in the 63rd minute, and Katelyn Nunziato capped the scoring in the 78th minute after receiving a pass from Maddie Fenwick. The three goals gave Farmingdale three different goal scorers in the victory.

The Rams dominated the statistical battle, finishing with a 20-1 advantage in shots and putting 10 attempts on target. Greensboro managed just one shot, which was saved by Farmingdale goalkeeper Charlotte Hoina. Greensboro goalkeeper made seven saves as Farmingdale consistently pressured the Pride throughout the match, while the Rams also held a 3-2 edge in corner kicks.
