St. Joseph’s vs Purchase-
St. Joseph’s starts off conference play in dominant fashion, winning 22-5 over Purchase. St. Joseph’s came out of the gate red hot scoring 7 goals in the first quarter and finishing the half with a 15-2 lead, they locked down on defense forcing 22 turnovers which resulted in them taking 19 more shots on goal than Purchase. For Purchase Julieth Velasquez was a bright spot for them scoring 4 of their 5 goals, Jill Creegan followed her with 1 goal. For St. Joseph’s Sabrina Doyle went off today, scoring 7 goals and picking up 1 assist, but the real story is her picking up her 100th point of her career as just a junior, she was followed by Kaitlyn Ippolito with 4 goals and 3 assists, then by Jocelyn Forseth with 3 goals and Taylor Metzler with 2 goals and 2 assists. Emily Grace Passaro, Gianna Darienzo, Emily Farrington, Madison Mattera and Julia Stolba all had 1 goal each, while Stolba also brought in an impressive 5 assists. St. Joseph’s showed they are primed for a solid conference season, moving to 1-0 in conference play.
