YESHIVA WINS OVER OLD WESTBURY

YESHIVA WINS OVER OLD WESTBURY

Yeshiva vs Old Westbury-

On Superbowl Sunday Yeshiva finally got their first conference win over Old Westbury in an absolute thriller of a game that came down to the bitter end. Yeshiva managed to build up a pretty solid lead until the fourth quarter when Old Westbury rallied back scoring 21 points, but Yeshiva managed to just hold onto the lead hitting a jump shot with a minute left then locking down on defense. This Yeshiva team had been constantly improving the past few weeks, mainly due to the performances of Naomi Sigman, who has been leading them every game. Last night Sigman had a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds, she was followed by Tali Cohen with 15 points and 4 assists, then Fortune Hanan with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Old Westbury didn’t go quietly though with Endya Greene showing up to play yet again with another double-double scoring a game high 32 points and 12 rebounds, she was followed by Korrina Plair with 19 points and a game high 17 rebounds. Yeshiva and Old Westbury are now tied at 1-15 in conference play.
