USMMA Loses to NYU as Turnovers Break their Defense

            USMMA was plagued turnovers against NYU which cost them the game falling to 5-2 overall. USMMA had 40 turnovers which nullified their usual strength, which is defense, they gave up 102 points many as result of the turnovers. Carolae Barton led the team again with 21 points and 7 rebounds as she made the all-tournament team this weekend. Emily Grasseler brought in a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds continuing her stellar season. With Grasseler and Barton playing this way it’s hard to beat USMMA, but the constant turnovers killed them offensively with only Breanna Sommers able to join them in the double-digit club with 10 points, she also added 7 rebounds. This game ends a 5-game win streak for USMMA. Both Barton and Grasseler are quickly making their case for the best duo in the Skyline Conference, and both have a case to be called the best player, so look out for them this season as they look to get back on track this season.
