USMMA DEFEATS SARAH LAWRENCE BEHIND GRASSELER'S STELLAR PERFORMANCE

USMMA vs Sarah Lawrence-

            USMMA wins their seventh straight game, after defeating a tough Sarah Lawrence team 83-63. USMMA dominated in the paint scoring 46 points in the paint, while also locking in defensively holding Sarah Lawrence to just 25% shooting from behind the arc. Emily Grasseler went off for USMMA scoring 29 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, she was followed by Carolae Barton with a double-double of her own, with 21 points and 14 rebounds. Breanna Sommers and Hannah Ramsden both had solid showings with 13 points each. Sarah Lawrence was led by Sarah Theriault with 19 points and 12 rebounds, followed by Gabby Hudson with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Jade-Ling Eng Stewart had 13 points, followed by Colleen Coughlin with 10 points. With Manhattanville’s surprise loss today USMMA now has a real chance of catching up to first place in the conference. Grasseler and Barton both make great cases to be the Skyline Player of the year, at this point it’s a toss up between the two. USMMA now moves to 15-2 in conference play as Sarah Lawrence falls to 9-8.
