USMMA COMES BACK TO DEFEAT ST. JOSEPH'S

USMMA vs St. Joseph’s-

            USMMA gets their eighth straight win after pulling it out against St. Joseph’s 64-55. St. Joseph’s coming off a major upset victory against Manhattanville was looking to pull off another upset win and in the first half it looked like they just might do it, but then USMMA came back and despite a tough shooting night managed to put up 44 second half points. USMMA relied on its rebounding and defense to win, they out rebounded St. Joseph’s 45 to 28 securing them 21 second chance points, while also picking up 11 steals that lead to 24 easy points. USMMA was led by its big three with Emily Grasseler scoring 22 points and grabbing 9 rebounds, followed by Carolae Barton with a double-double, 17 points and 14 rebounds, followed by Hannah Ramsden with 16 points. St. Joseph’s didn’t go down easy, leading after the first half, they proved this week they can compete with any team in the conference. Madelyn Barone led them with 14 points, followed by Gabriella Andreacchi with 13 points while both brought in 4 rebounds. USMMA moves to 16-2 in conference play as St. Joseph’s falls to 10-8.
