St. Joseph's locks down on defense to beat Old Westbury

St. Joseph’s vs Old Westbury-

            St. Joseph’s dominated against Old Westbury with a 55-29 win to move to 3-3 in Skyline play. St. Joseph’s locked up on defense, completely shutting out Old Westbury in the first quarter 19-0. Kallie Eichner led St. Joseph’s with 15 points and 3 assists she was followed by Madelyn Barone who brought in a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Gabrielle Andreacchi had a solid showing with 6 points and 11 rebounds. St. Joseph’s had 16 steals which led to easy fast break points for them.  Old Westbury couldn’t find answers offensively but got solid showings from Kasey Coppola and Brianne Belizaire. St. Joseph’s had a much-needed bounce back after dropping two straight games. Old Westbury falls too 0-6 in conference play.
