St. Joseph's falls to Stevens Despite Donovan and Perez's Efforts

St. Joseph’s vs Stevens-

            St. Joseph’s falls to 6-6 after suffering a tough loss against Stevens 70-59. Poor shooting costed St. Joseph’s with them only shooting 17% from three-point land and then just 29% from the field. Their defense actually had some success with 11 steals, but this wasn’t enough to turn the tide. A tough first quarter became too much to overcome as the game went on. Kristen Donovan led St. Joseph’s with 18 points and 8 assists, she was followed by Mercedes Perez who had 16 points and Nikki Grech with a solid 11 points and 6 rebounds. St. Joseph’s showed they can compete this game, they just need to improve their offense, we will see what adjustments they can make going into the second half of the season.
