Mount Saint Mary's falls short against Alfred in Puerto Rico

Mount Saint Mary’s vs Alfred-

            Mount Saint Mary’s drops its second straight game in Puerto Rico against Alfred. Despite losing this game it was a bounce back after a lack luster performance the night before. Mount Saint Mary’s suffered from poor shooting both games, but they managed to hang in this game scoring 50 points despite shooting just 25% from the field. Maggie Trinkaus led Mount Saint Mary’s with a solid double-double bringing in 21 points and 11 rebounds, she was followed by Sara Cashin who had 14 points and 5 rebounds. These shooting woes are extremely unusual for this team, and it won’t continue for sure, a main reason for this was them missing their leading scorer Brianna Guglielmo for both games. This team is still poised for a special season in the Skyline Conference this year. They now move to 5-6 overall.
