FARMINGDALE BESTS OLD WESTBURY

FARMINGDALE BESTS OLD WESTBURY

Farmingdale vs Old Westbury-

Farmingdale finishes off the season with a win over SUNY Old Westbury 74-59, despite a lack luster shooting performance. Farmingdale made up for the poor shooting on the defensive end, they forced 28 turnovers which led to 28 points, while also making up for it by forcing the ball down low, scoring 44 points in the paint. Mia Simmons led Farmingdale with 20 points, followed by Alexandria Walbroehl with 15 points and 8 rebounds, then Samyah Allen with 14 points and 6 rebounds. For Old Westbury Endya Greene and Sakhmet Lewis led the way with 20 points each, while Greene also chipped in 10 rebounds for a double-double, Aissata Kone had a solid 12 points also. Greene and Sakhmet really picked up the play for Old Westbury in the second half of the season making them a real competitive team after a rocky start to the season. For Farmingdale they will finish the year 12-8 in conference play as they look to make a run in the playoffs. They are dangerous in any match up and it will be interesting to see how far they can make it.
