FARMINGDALE ADVANCES DEFEATING ST. JOSEPH'S

 Farmingdale vs St. Joseph’s-

            Farmingdale survives at home defeating St. Joseph’s to advance and play Manhattanville on Friday night. This was an ugly game with both sides relying on their defense to win, neither team shot above 30%, but Farmingdale managed to force 20 turnovers helping them secure the victory. Mia Simmons came to play for Farmingdale, she dropped 16 points and 2 rebounds, while Alexandria Walbroehl led the game with 15 rebounds. St. Josephs didn’t go down easy though, they led after the first half after a great first quarter, Madelyn Barone, Gabriella Andreacchi and Isabelle Lebron all led St. Joseph’s with 9 points each, while Andreacchi added 12 rebounds. St. Joseph’s had a solid season with some big wins including handing Manhattanville their first conference loss, I’m sure they would have loved to see them again next round. Farmingdale looks to do the impossible and upset Manhattanville in their own gym Friday night, and they are talented enough so don’t count them out.
