MARITIME ADVANCES PAST FARMINGDALE

            Maritime advances after defeating Farmingdale 13-5 with stellar goalie play on both sides. Maritime came out of the gate red hot scoring 5 first quarter goals, which proved to be too much for Farmingdale overcome. Maritime had 23 shots on goal and dominated the ground ball war 38-20, which kept the ball on Farmingdale’s side of the field. For Maritime Cristian Scaffaro was in the net and he picked up 13 saves while only allowing 5 goals from a usually explosive offensive team, on offense Ryan Hannaford has a game for Maritime scoring 4 goals and picking up 3 assists, he was followed by Nick Uzakewicz, Thomas McCarvill and Tyler Mahood with 2 goals each, while Mahood added 3 assists, Christopher Laino, Peter Horstmann and Michael Wiegand added 1 goal each. For Farmingdale they struggled to get going offensively, with no player scoring more than 1 goal, their 5 goals came from 5 separate players, Tommy Mai, Adam Giovinco, Joey Forchelli, Connor Murtha and Ethan Vargas. Maritime now moves onto the Skyline Conference Championship.
