Yeshiva is going back to the finals, after defeating Purchase in a tough game 86-71. Purchase played extremely well in the first half, leading 30-22 with just five minutes left in the half, but Yeshiva rallied back, shooting 50% from the field which allowed them to overwhelm Purchase in the second half. Yeshiva was led by the player of the year, Zevi Samet with 20 points and 9 rebounds, followed by Yoav Oselka with 18 point and 9 rebounds, then by Max Zakheim with a double-double, 14 points and 11 rebounds, then Roy Itcovichi and Yair Dovrat both brought in 11 points each. For Purchase Trey Skeet led the way with a phenomenal game with 24 points and 4 rebounds, followed by Nate Maldonado with 16 point, Chris Hunter with 15 points and Maurice Western with 10 points. Purchase had a solid season defying the odds by even making it this far, barley being above .500 most the season they defied the odds and really picked up their play to push them to these semi-finals. For Yeshiva they are now heading to the finals looking to repeat last year's success, they could have a repeat opponent in Farmingdale if they can overtake a tough Sarah Lawrence team.
