Yeshiva Basketball Pre Season Report 2025

Preseason Report

Yeshiva is bringing back a large portion of their championship winning team from last year. There leading scorer who scored an astounding 37 points in last year's Skyline Championship game will be returning this year and will be looking to recreate some of the magic from last year! Zevi Samet led Yeshiva in scoring last year with the help of Max Zakheim who led the team in assists, while also averaging 15 points per game. (Both will be returning)

This squad is bringing back a few key contributors to last year's success, but also losing their leading rebounder Luke Cronin, it will be interesting how they can replace is 6 rebounds per game and 80 assists over the past season. This team finished 18-11 overall and 12-4 in Skyline Conference play last season only losing to Sarah Lawrence (2x), Farmingdale and Mount Saint Mary’s in conference last season. A key game this year will be the rematch from last year’s championship game against Farmingdale State College January 24th (at Yeshiva 8:30pm) in a game that has become a sort of rivalry over the past few seasons.

Yeshiva will be looking to recreate last year's magic and make a run at the Skyline Championship. They are led by one of the most successful Skyline Conference coaches ever in Elliot Steinmetz.

McGovern Sports and Media Prediction-

Our prediction is they will be a top 2 team in the conference and will make a deep run into the playoffs, with a very good chance to win the championship again

Strengths- Scoring

- They are bringing back key players including their two leading scorers. They have effective 3-point scorers returning and run an up paced offense designed to score quick and efficiently.
