SUNY Farmingdale College
Pre-Season Report 2025
SUNY Farmingdale is coming off a disappointing ending to there season where they had the lead in the final minutes of the Skyline Championship game, but fell victim to Yeshivas final minute heroics. They were a dominate force in the conference last year leading the conference with a 13-3 conference record. They have many players returning this season including their leading scorer Michael Notios who led the Rams with 14 points per game.
SUNY Farmingdale looks to avenge their last season championship loss, while bringing back many key players from last season like Kentrell Evans who averaged 7 rebounds per game and Sean Controy who scored 12.2 points per game last season. They will be losing a key guard Jevon Santos who led the team in assists. Farmingdale had a very balanced offense last season with 6 players averaging more than 7 points per game. They were an dominate force rebounding the ball which helped them secure their spot in the Skyline Conference Championship game.
One of the only flaws they had last year was there defense with most of their loses were a result of them allowing their opponents above the 70-point marker, often last season they were able to score their way out it by scoring in the 80’s and sometimes 90’s. This season defense will be the key to this team’s success, with most of their leading scorers returning putting up points will not be the issue.
SUNY Farmingdale is led by the very successful veteran Coach Brendan Twomey. They open up their season against Stony Brook University November 3rd (at Stony Brook, 6:30pm). This season looks to be Farmingdale’s redemption tour we will see if it pans out!
McGovern Sports and Media Prediction
Farmingdale will be a playoff team, finishing with just 5 conference losses.
