St. Joseph’s Long Island just got out to a hot start and that proved too much for St. Joseph’s Brooklyn to overcome. Neither team shot the ball well, but Long Island managed to hold Brooklyn to just 31% shooting, while turning them over 12 time. For St. Joseph’s Long Island Kenny Rodriguez continues to lead them, tonight he had 21 points and 13 rebounds, followed by AJ Esposito who has been a force in the paint this season for them, with 13 points and 19 rebounds in tonight’s game. Colin Mills led St. Joseph’s Brooklyn with 18 points. St. Joseph’s LI moves to 8-7 in conference play as St. Joseph’s Brooklyn falls to 5-10. Both these teams have been streaky this season with St. Joseph’s Brooklyn putting it all together in the last few weeks, while St. Joseph’s LI had its peak early in conference play, but they look to be getting some of that spark back behind Rodriguez’s stellar performances as of late.
