ST. JOSEPH'S GETS THE WIN OVER OLD WESTBURY 61-56

St. Joseph’s vs Old Westbury-

            St. Joseph’s pulls out a big conference win after defeating SUNY Old Westbury in stellar game 61-56. Old Westbury clawed their way back into this game, but St. Joseph’s was just too much for them to handle. St. Joseph’s was dominate on the boards grabbing 53 rebounds compared to Old Westbury’s 43, they also held Old Westbury to just 29% shooting. Colin Mills led St. Joseph’s with 23 points, he was followed by Justin Nazon with 16 points, then Jacob Idowu who led the team with 15 rebounds also added 8 points. Old Westbury didn’t go down easily though, Jermain King Jr. dropped 21 points trying to will his team to victory, followed by Joel Ofori with 11 points and 15 rebounds. Both these teams seemed to have found their groove in the past month showing that despite their slow starts they are talented enough to compete with any team in the conference. St. Joseph’s moves to 5-9 in conference play as Old Westbury falls to 6-8.
