Pre-Season Report 2025
Sarah Lawrence is bringing back a large portion of its team this season after a run to the Skyline Semifinals in the 2024-25 season. They look to get over the hump this season after falling to the Skyline Champion Yeshiva Maccabees in the semifinals by just three points. This year they bring back two of the better players in the league, Eamon Kelly who averaged 14.5 points and 5.7 rebounds, and Braden Burman who averaged 12.3 points and 4.6 rebounds.
Sarah Lawrence had a very balanced team offensively last season. They have a few key strengths returning from last year, including their big men, as they were one of the better rebounding teams in the conference. Their leading rebounder Chris Dougherty, who averaged 9.1 rebounds last season, was crucial to the team’s success. The team’s few losses were usually a result of low scoring; they run a slowed down offense which usually results in the best shot each time down the court. This has been a successful strategy for them over the years but can backfire when they get off to a slow start.
Last season they finished 18-9 overall and 13-3 in Skyline play. This season they will look to finally get over the hump and win the Skyline Championship, as they are primed with a upperclassmen heavy team to make a run in the playoffs. This team is led by Coach Chris Ehmer who has two Skyline coach of the year awards, including last seasons.
