PURCHASE BESTS MARITIME TO MOVE ON

Purchase vs Maritime-

Purchase manages to pull off the upset on the road to beat Maritime 89-65, punching their ticket to the next round of the playoffs. Purchase shot the lights out, they shot 50% from the field and 45% from behind the arc, while also forcing 18 turnovers which handed them 25 easy points.  They also managed to get up by 15 in the second half which proved too much for Maritime to overcome. Purchase was led by Maurice Western who had a big game with 23 points and 5 assists, followed by Desmond Ward with 19 points and 8 rebounds, then by Trey Skeete with 18 points and 9 rebounds, then Chris Hunter and Nate Maldonado both with 11 points each. Maritime was led by Jake Devaney who caps off another stellar year with 16 points and 7 rebounds, followed by Jesse Tricario with 15 points and 6 rebounds, then Tyler Anderson with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Maritime came up short tonight, but they have a young core in Devaney and Williams who will be a threat to the league for years to come. Purchase moves on to play the winner of Old Westbury and Yeshiva, they have now turned what was a streaky season into a very successful one as they look to make a run at the Skyline finals.
