Maritime Loses as Shooting Slump Continues

SUNY Maritime

Maritime vs Baruch-

Maritime off to a tough start this season, giving up 50 second half points in the 2nd half to give up the lead. Their 3-point shooting in the second half fell apart going just 1-16, while the defense couldn’t hold back Baruch fast paced offense. Jake Devaney scored 28 points as he tried to hold onto Maritimes lead, he was helped by Tyler Anderson who rattled off 13 points and 4 rebounds and Zion Williams who brought in 12 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists. Their glue guy Evan Block led the team with 9 rebounds; he also brought in 3 points and 2 assists. Maritime is still in search of their first win, with that being said they have remained competitive despite their recent shooting woes. When Maritime finally gets hot from behind the arch it will be hard to beat them. Maritime started Jake Devaney, Tyler Anderson, Zion Williams, Jesse Tricario and Evan Block.
