SUNY Old Westbury vs Westfield State University-
Old Westbury is still searching for its first win as they fall to Westfield State 97-65. Their defense continues to be a problem allowing over 40 points in each half, part of that is the number of turnovers they are committing on the offensive end. The 19 turnovers proved to be a key factor of their loss giving Westfield easy opportunities. Old Westbury was led by Bradley Young who had a solid 16 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Other contributors included Imole Akinwale who had 14 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists, Jermaine King Jr who brought in 12 points and 2 assists, Yigit Balta scoring 9 points and rebounds 4 boards. Finally, Joel Ofori had a modest 6 points, but led the team with 16 rebounds. Despite these guys the team couldn’t hold Westfield down defensively costing them the game. Old Westbury will need to work on protecting the ball and team defense if they want to turn their season around. Old Westbury started Bradley Young, Imole Akinwale, Jermaine King Jr., Yigit Balta and Joel Ofori.
