Devaney Hits Game Winner to Push Maritime over New Paltz

Maritime vs New Paltz-

            SUNY Maritime defeats New Paltz after at the buzzer with Jake Devaney hitting the mid-range shot to put Maritime up by 1 with just a second left. The game was neck and neck the whole way through and with a few seconds left Maritime inbounded the ball got up the court and ran a play for Devaney who managed to power through to the left side and hit a fade away jump shot to secure Maritime the victory. Devaney had 14 points and 4 rebounds, while Tyler Anderson led the game with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Evan Block had a solid showing pouring in 8 points and 8 rebounds. Maritimes defense was key with them recording 13 steals and in a game this close those proved to be key. Maritime now moves to 3-3 overall as they move into conference play this Saturday.
