Yeshiva University erased a halftime deficit and scored three unanswered goals in the second half to defeat SUNY Cobleskill 4-2 on Sunday afternoon at the Soccer/Lacrosse Complex. The Tigers struck first in the 12th minute when Declan McCracken finished a pass from Spencer Reisman, but Yeshiva answered in the 27th minute as Franco Busso converted a chance created by Hadar Lavinsky. Cobleskill regained the lead in the 39th minute when Gavin McEnroe scored off an assist from Jack Jewett, sending the Tigers into halftime with a 2-1 advantage.
Yeshiva came out aggressively after the break and leveled the match in the 57th minute. Uri Aron finished a cross from Daniel Mermelszteyn with a side volley into the bottom corner, bringing the Maccabees even at 2-2. The visitors continued to pressure Cobleskill's defense and finally took the lead in the 78th minute, when Asher Light followed up a saved corner-kick opportunity and buried the rebound to put Yeshiva ahead for the first time.
Just over a minute later, Yeshiva added another insurance goal. Busso pressured Cobleskill goalkeeper Sean Hanrahan, won possession and finished into the open net for his second goal of the afternoon. Busso finished with seven shots and four shots on goal, while Lavinsky recorded two assists. Yeshiva outshot Cobleskill 15-11 and held a 9-6 advantage in shots on target, while Nicolas Galer made four saves to help preserve the comeback victory.
