The University of Mount Saint Vincent remained unbeaten to open the 2026 season Wednesday night, defeating Yeshiva University 3-0 at Marillac Field. After a scoreless opening 45 minutes, the Dolphins broke through early in the second half when John Brienza found the back of the net in the 49th minute to give UMSV the lead.
UMSV continued to apply pressure as the match progressed, with Marti Senyer doubling the advantage in the 82nd minute off a corner kick. Just 1:42 later, Manuel Vidal added another goal to put the Dolphins ahead 3-0, with Senyer providing the assist. Senyer finished with three points, while Brandon Brad Leon led UMSV with five shots, including two on target.
The Dolphins controlled the match from an attacking standpoint, finishing with a 21-6 advantage in shots and a 12-5 edge in shots on goal. Joey Wiant recorded five saves to earn the shutout, continuing an impressive start in goal after allowing just one goal through his first 270 minutes of the season. The victory moved UMSV to 2-0-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
